📖 How PublishShelf Works

Everything you need to know about buying, reading and publishing on PublishShelf.

For Readers

1. Browse & preview free. Open any publication in the Library — you can read the preview pages before deciding, no account needed.
2. Create an account. Sign up with just your email — it takes under a minute and keeps your purchases in one place.
3. Pay the author directly. Choose GCash, PayPal or Wise on the payment page. You transfer straight to the author — PublishShelf never holds your money. Include the reference code shown (e.g. PS12) so your payment is matched quickly.
4. Confirm your payment. After transferring, hit "I've paid". The author verifies and approves — usually within hours.
5. Read anywhere. Once approved, the publication appears in your Library. Read online, or install our app (Add to Home Screen) for offline reading. Reading access works on up to 2 devices — you can manage them under My devices.

For Authors

1. Register & get selling slots. Create an account, then top up credit (via PayPal) and purchase a slot package on the Plans page.
2. Upload your publication. PDF up to 80MB. Declare the origin of the work and sign the copyright pledge — every submission is reviewed before going live.
3. Set your payout methods. Add your GCash number, PayPal or Wise link in My account — buyers pay you directly, you keep 100% of the price.
4. Approve orders. When a buyer reports payment, verify it in your dashboard and approve — reading access unlocks instantly.
5. Optional: pen names & affiliates. Publish under multiple pen names, each with its own author page; or enable a % affiliate commission so partners promote your work.
